The Automotive Council and SMMT will join other high profile industry speakers at the Low Carbon Vehicle anniversary event at Millbrook.

Konstanze Scharring, Policy Director of the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and Graham Hoare, Chairman of the Technology Group of the Automotive Council and Ford Motor Company’s Director of Global Vehicle Evaluation and Verification, will be among the keynote speakers celebrating the progress of the UK’s low emissions vehicle market at the 10th annual Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) Event this year. LCV2017 is taking place 6–7 September 2017, at Millbrook in Bedfordshire.

Other speakers include Simon Edmonds of Innovate UK, Ian Constance, the Chief Executive of Advanced Propulsion Systems UK and Natasha Robinson, Head of the UK Office of Low Emission Vehicles, who will join attendees in reflecting on the industry’s progress while identifying the technology, policy and market trends that will drive the future of low carbon transportation.

The event is expected to attract more than 3,000 attendees, who will attend seminars on all aspects of low carbon vehicle development and policy, from advances in low carbon propulsion technology, battery technology and vehicle lightweighting, through to connected and autonomous vehicles, and electric vehicle infrastructure development to support the ultra-low carbon vehicle growth.

Since the inception of the LCV Event in 2008, Cenex has worked with government agencies and organisations to make the LCV Event a technology showcase for UK capabilities in low carbon vehicles, and to advance the agenda-setting role of the event. With a steady growth of attendees, exhibitors and vehicles on display, the Cenex-LCV Event has truly become the “must-attend” event for the low carbon vehicle community.

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex, said, “I look forward to joining industry leaders from the Automotive Council, SMMT, APC, Innovate UK, and the Office of Low Emissions Vehicles in celebrating the progress the low carbon vehicle industry has made since our first LCV event a decade ago. We will be joined by over 80 speakers, amongst whom are CEOs, CTOs, and founders of some of the most innovative organisations in the low emission vehicle industry. With such a high calibre of speakers and seminars, I am confident that this will be the biggest and best LCV Event to date.”
